Solo: A Star Wars Story actor Donal Glover has come out to reveal that he and his wife Michelle White received a huge blessing amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In a recent interview, Glover shared that while everyone is dealing with the global quarantine situation, they welcomed their third child to the world.

Getting into detail with GQ Magazine, the Spider-Man: Homecoming star shared with I May Destroy You's Michael Coel that their family milestone actually coincided with the tragic passing of George Floyd which made headlines last June and immediately sparked the heated #BlackLivesMatter movement and protests. "You know, I had [a kid] during the coronavirus," Glover told Coel during the interview. "It was nuts. I was in the hospital bed. My son had just been born, like, an hour before and I was watching the George Floyd video. It was such a weird moment. It was such an intense, weird moment because I'm watching that video and it's like eight minutes long, so you're sitting there and I had just had this amazing, joyful, expanding moment, plus my dad had passed away recently, so [my son] was named after my father... I don't even know what, really, the word is to describe it. It was just expanding: the empathy and compassion and the terror and the joy of it."

The actor, who also went by the name Childish Gambino continued: "Having the future in your hands! And then having to explain to him – the one who was just in here [Legend] – 'Why are people angry? Why are people marching?' 'Well, you look like this...' It's just heavy. Again, your show, you whittle down that kind of thing; you simplify what is happening to us. It's really beautiful to see it because you can't really describe it. You can just feel it."

Amid all the uncertainty the COVID-19 outbreak has brought the entire world, Glover seems to be in no rush to take on new acting projects and it looks like he's shifting his focus on being a full-time father for now. His insightful interview with GQ is quite touching and an eye-opener in itself that shows just how much the actor values his family and life in general. Now, that's something I'm pretty sure fans of the 37-year-old actor are proud of. Hats off to you, Mr. Glover.

Donald Glover's last notable acting gig came in the 2019's The Lion King remake as the voice of Simba.
