Star Wars: Disney is Forcing Etsy to Take Down Unlicensed Baby Yoda Toys

Have you been planning to get one of those adorable Baby Yoda toys from Etsy? You better act fast at this point. A new report reveals that Disney is forcing sellers to take down unlicensed Star Wars merchandise from the website.

According to The Verge, the House of Mouse has already reached out to several Etsy sellers who have been producing Baby Yoda merchandise and forcing them to take down their products.

The Baby Yoda products are not the only things that need to be taken down from Etsy listings. Any merchandise associated with "The Mandalorian" and "Star Wars" has also been removed from listings.

There is a good reason why most Etsy merchandise are getting more popular than the actual licensed products. In addition to being more affordable, there is a shorter waitlist for Baby Yoda plushies and toys. Unfortunately, if you haven't ordered these on Etsy just yet, you'll have to wait until Disney makes the official merch available.

Baby Yoda has been the breakout star of The Mandalorian considering that the Child's introduction was a true surprise for Star Wars fans. The character's debut was made secret when Disney chose not to produce any Baby Yoda merch prior to the show's premiere.

For now, fans can rest assured that they will see more of Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian Season 2. After all, the first season concluded with the Child being in Din Djarin's care as they look for the baby's people. There is little doubt that their journey will be a dangerous one but we're pretty sure Baby Yoda will be safe as long as he's with Djarin.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is currently in production and is set to premiere on Disney+ in Fall.
