Star Wars Director Robert Rodriguez Teases Epic Alita Crossover with The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda

We already know that Robert Rodriguez is one of the new directors who worked on an episode or two for The Mandalorian Season 2. But will Rodriguez's episode actually feature an Alita: Battle Angel reference? The new Star Wars filmmaker has just teased on an epic Alita crossover with Baby Yoda.

Rodriguez took to his official Twitter account to share an awesome fan-made poster depicting a young Alita with The Child. Check it out below.

Interestingly, Rodriguez's caption reads, "Alita + Baby Yoda - October 30th." He also credits artist @PaulUntitled and added the hashtag #AlitaArmy.

Although we're loving the idea that Alita will show up in The Mandalorian Season 2, there's a completely different reason why Rodriguez shared the poster. It has been confirmed that Alita will be returning to theaters on the same day that the first episode of the second season airs on Disney+. Needless to say, October 30 will be a busy one for the Alita Army and Star Wars fans.

For now, Rodriguez's episodes for The Mandalorian Season 2 have not yet been revealed. However, there are speculations that he worked on at least two episodes that will both feature major action sequences. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Alita: Battle Angel will return to selected theaters on October 30. The first episode of The Mandalorian Season 2, which is currently known as Chapter 9, will premiere on Disney+ on the same day.
