Star Wars’ Diego Luna is Excited to Pilot More in Rogue One Prequel Series


It looks like Star Wars fans are going to get more time with Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) behind the wheel in Lucasfilm's upcoming Rogue One spinoff series.

Speaking in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes,Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor Deigo Luna opened up about what excited him the most about returning in his own Cassian Andor spinoff series for Disney+. Not only was the Mexican actor and filmmaker excited to explore his character a little bit longer, but it seems like the series is going to give Luna the opportunity to pilot a few more ships.

"To have more time to develop the character, and to pilot a little longer, you know?" Luna told Rotten Tomatoes when asked what he was most eager for in the Cassian Andor series, "It's amazing. When you're piloting, the thing actually moves, you know? It's fantastic. I just wanted to do more and more and more. But to be honest, it was something I really wanted to happen and I'm glad it's happening."

There's certainly a whole lot of excitement over the new Rogue One series. The Star Wars spinoff movie was a major hit when it premiered back in 2016. Fans and critics all seemed to agree over their sentiments for the movie, raving over how Rogue One managed to draw deep from Star Wars mythology while breaking ground with a brand new narrative and brand new aesthetic for the franchise.

There aren't any official details about when Luna's Cassian Andor series will begin production, but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.

Meanwhile, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is making its way to Digital HD on March 17, 2020. The film is set to release on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Ultra HD on March 31, 2020.
