Star Wars: Diego Luna Claims Lucasfilm Doesn't Trust Him With Rogue One Prequel Script

There is little doubt that Lucasfilm is being very secretive with its upcoming projects. But just how far will the studio go to avoid leaking details about the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel series? Diego Luna has just revealed that the producers don't trust him with the script for his new show.

Luna was recently a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he admitted that he is unable to share any information about the Disney+ series since Lucasfilm refuses to give him any details.

"I'm in it and I can't say anything, but not because I don't want to or because of a contract, it's because they don't tell me anything," Luna said. "They don't trust me, I think because I like Mezcal, man. I tend to get drunk and say things."

Well, it looks like Lucasfilm has a valid reason. After all, they've had some experience with Luna dropping his script in the most unlikely places.

"I also used to leave my script while we were shooting Rogue One," Luna stated before adding that he had the tendency to tell people what he knew about the film.

"I used to leave my script everywhere. They realized that. I was single, so it's also kind of cool like, ‘You wanna know what the film is about?'" he said.

So we can't really blame Lucasfilm for being secretive with Luna. Sadly, that means we can't expect him to tell us anything about the new Star Wars series.

The still-untitled Cassian Andor series is expected to begin production later this year or in early 2021.
