There is little doubt that the final episode of The Mandalorian Season 1 had a lot of surprises for Star Wars fans. However, it also had a major revelation that left Darth Maul voice actor Sam Witwer in rage.
Witwer took to Twitter to express his anger over what happened in Chapter 8: Redemption. Take a look at his tweet below.
"I'm a little angry. No. Furious. Just watched Mandalorian. That's MINE," Witwer wrote before adding the hashtags #Mine and #MineMine just in case the first hashtag wasn't obvious enough.
Wait, what is Witwer talking about? The final scene in Chapter 8 revealed that Moff Gideon was still alive and managed to cut his way out of the destroyed TIE Fighter. Interestingly, the weapon Gideon was using happens to be the darksaber, which Maul had taken from Pre Viszla in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Of course, Maul isn't the first owner of the darksaber and is hardly the last one. The last time fans saw the weapon, it was in the possession of Sabine Wren in Star Wars Rebels. So if there's anyone who should be upset about the darksaber being used by Gideon, it should be Sabine.
For now, there's a huge possibility we'll see the darksaber again in The Mandalorian Season 2. Hopefully, it would explain how Gideon got his hands on the weapon in the first place.
