It goes without saying that Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy failed to live up to the hype but that's not to say that it didn't have its redeeming qualities. To be fair, the sequels had a good start with The Force Awakens and say what you will about Episode VII and the whole "it copied so much of A New Hope" argument but it was actually pretty enjoyable.

Daisy Ridley can't seem to escape the shadow of Rey (Skywalker) and it's quite evident in her recent social media post that the franchise will forever be etched in her life. Taking to her recent Instagram story update, the 30-year-old star shared an equally endearing and hilarious text message she received from her mother Louise Fawkner Corbett.

Like any supportive parent, Daisy's mom was rewatching The Force Awakens and even called the J.J. Abrams-directed film "really really good". What's actually funny was how her phone decided to use autocorrect on the film's main baddie Kylo Ren whose Sith moniker was changed from "Kylo" to "Kyle".

Ridley wrote: "My mum is watching TFA... This autocorrect kills me. Kyle! Nasty Kyle Ren!" Check it out below:

Meanwhile, Daisy's future in the Star Wars franchise seems uncertain at this point but the conclusion of the Skywalker saga pretty much guaranteed a return for Rey in the future. However, Disney and Lucasfilm are obviously prioritizing streaming and with the next film not happening until at least 2024, it looks like we're a few years away from the rumored Episode X.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available to stream on Disney+.
