Star Wars: Daisy Ridley Reveals the Only Thing About The Last Jedi That Upsets Her

While generally successful, Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been on the receiving end of fan hate ever since it came out back in 2016. Though you'll never hear any of the actors say anything terrible about the film, Daisy Ridley opens up about the one thing upsets her about TLJ.

During a recent interview, Ridley explained. "I think, and J.J. might disagree, that Rey was looking for a parent figure, and Luke just wasn't that, and that's what I always found so upsetting about The Last Jedi, and why I felt like it was so emotional doing it, cause all she wants is a family."

If anything, The Rise of Skywalker will introduce Leia as Rey's latest mentor, and it's been confirmed that it's Leia who'll be training her at the start of the film. We don't really know how deep Leia's knowledge of the Force goes, but if she was able to save herself with the Force in The Last Jedi, then she must know something.

Speaking of Leia, a lot of people are nervous about what kind of performance we can expect when it comes to TROS. The movie is said to be reusing stock footage from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi to bring Carrie Fisher back for this movie. What I'm afraid of is that it will all seem unnatural in the film, but if Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy are confident enough to push forward, then I guess we shouldn't worry too much.
