Star Wars Actress Daisy Ridley Opens Up About Her Emotional Final Scene For Episode IX

It looks like there's going to be a lot of emotion for Rey in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Daisy Ridley has been slowly making the rounds to help promote Star Wars: Episode IX, and in an interview with the Couch Surfing podcast, the Star Wars actress opened up about her final scene in the movie and how emotional it was for her to film the sequence.

According to the British star, she was the last person to finish filming for The Rise of Skywalker and she had become very emotional when she had been filming the "dramatic" last scene for the movie.

"I was the last person to wrap," Ridley told the hosts of the podcast, "It was my final shot and I'm just crying in the shot… It was incredibly dramatic."

Ridley was very tearful completing her work on The Rise of Skywalker.

"I hugged a number of people and then got in the car and looked out the window like I was in a music video: tears rolling down my face, hand to the window, thinking about days gone past," the actress said.

We can only wonder what kind of scene Ridley was filming on her last day on set. Could it be a scene involving Rey and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) or could it be a scene with Rey and Leia (the late Carrie Fisher)?

There's definitely a lot riding on The Rise of Skywalker. Not only is the film the last in Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel trilogy, but it's also the very last entry in the Skywalker saga.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
