The whereabouts of Luke Skywalker's Jedi students have always been a mystery and fans are yet to know what actually happened to them. And since there are still a few more weeks till the release of The Rise of Skywalker, Star Wars might have given us a hint regarding the students' fate in the upcoming comics miniseries.

In The Rise of Kylo Ren comics, the second issue's plot synopsis provides an ominous preview of what's about to take place in the story. The synopsis reads that the new Jedi school is now in ruins. Kylo Ren's fellow students are "hot on his trail for the murder of their master." This resulted in Ben Solo fleeing to "the only friend he has left in the galaxy," Snoke.

This is a surprising revelation since the students actually believed their Jedi Master was killed by someone who is apart of Luke's family. These students seem to be set on avenging him too, which points to the fact that the theories about them turning into Kylo's side or getting killed as well could likely be false.

This issue also features the cover of Luke and Ben fighting against the Knights of Ren. This suggests that the Knights of Ren could be around even before Ben changed his name which rules out the theory of the other Jedi students turning into Knights.

Regardless, this miniseries seems promising and could include lots of interesting stories that tackle the character's backstory. The Rise of Kylo Ren #2 is expected to be out on January 15, 2020. It is among the four-part miniseries, with the first issue to be released on December 18.
