Star Wars Clone Wars Season 7 Trailer Promises Epic Showdown Between Ahsoka And Maul

Star Wars fans have something new to look forward to next month. The seventh season of The Clone Wars is making its way to Disney's streaming site this February and Lucasfilm has a brand new trailer to add hype to the new season of the classic animated series.

Running for more or less two minutes, the new trailer teases the very end of the groundbreaking Star Wars series. We get to see shots of the Yoda, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and Anakin Skywalker realizing that the Jedi might have actually been infiltrated by a great evil. We get to see the clones going to war. We get to see epic space battles. We get to see land battles. More importantly, we get to see a glimpse of the confrontation between Ahsoka Tano and Darth Maul.

It's an epic trailer, really. The Clone Wars originally came out in 2008, serving as a filler between the Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. While the show got off to a rather rocky start, the series improved over time, and fans came to love The Clone Wars, considering it one of the most loved parts of Star Wars' canon.

There was a whole lot of disappointment when The Clone Wars was canceled right after a short sixth season on Netflix. Now, fans are finally getting a seventh season, one that's supposed to close the entire series. The seventh season is supposed to deliver 12 episodes on Disney+. The streaming company is expected to release these episodes weekly.

The Clone Wars Season 7 is set for release on February 21, 2020.
