Star Wars: Check This Amazing TLJ Luke Skywalker and Hilarious Rey Cosplay from NYCC 20182018

New York Comic-Con 2018 came with a lot of cool reveals, but some of the best bits of the con come from the people simply attending it. One cosplayer in particular has pulled off an amazing Old Man Luke complete with green milk and a giant fish, and another has an interesting take on Rey cosplay.

Check out Old Man Luke:

One of the most bizzare rants about The Last Jedi that I don't understand is everyone hating on Luke's day-to-day in Ach-To where he goes fishing and milks a giant sea cow. Aside from the fact that the scene answers how Luke survives on the planet, it gives us a look at him actually being a ‘farmboy.' Sure he worked at the Lars moisture farm, but we never actually got to see Luke do some actual farming in the original Star Wars.

Now for Force Vision Rey:

I'll admit, the costume that the guy himself is wearing isn't accurate at all, but strapping the Rey cutouts to himself and walking around was just genius. Though some people may revel at accurate cosplay outfits, I kind of find it more impressive when costumes have fun and clever inside jokes that only the true blue nerds will understand.

For now, Lucasfilm is deep into production of Star Wars Episode IX and it will feature both Rey and Luke Skywalker making comebacks. Rey, of course, has to deal once more with the rise of Kylo Ren, while Luke, on the other hand, will more likely come back as a Force Ghost.

Though I wouldn't be lying if said I wanted to see the early training days of Ben Solo when Luke Skywalker was just teaching him about the Force like he did with Rey in TLJ.

Star Wars Episode IX hits theaters Dec. 20, 2019.
