Star Wars: Black Krrsantan's Hilarious Original Name Revealed

There is little doubt that Black Krrsantan was one of the coolest characters introduced in The Book of Boba Fett so far. After all, the Wookiee bounty hunter who debuted in the Star Wars comic books has an awesome name and an attitude that goes with it. However, it looks like Black K didn't start out as cool as we had imagined because he had the most hilarious original names ever!

Black Krrsantan first showed up in Marvel Comics' Darth Vader series back in 2015 and Star Wars fans were immediately impressed with the new Wookiee. After all, he had a cool name and he was a bounty hunter. However, comic book writer Kieron Gillen has revealed that "Black Krrsantan" isn't the first name that he gave the character when he created him.

"Newbacca" doesn't exactly have the same awesome ring as "Black Krrsantan" but it's pretty catchy. Still, we're glad Gillen decided on the latter.

But will we see more of Black K in The Book of Boba Fett? In Episode 3, we finally got to see the Wookiee in action as he snuck into Jabba the Hutt's former palace and attacked the new Daimyo. Although he almost succeeds, Krrsantan was stopped by Fett's guards and Fennec Shand managed to drop him into the Rancor pit.

Fans still believe that Black K could play a minor role in the next few episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, especially since Fett released him and gave him his freedom. Is there a chance that Krrsantan will eventually return and choose to work for Fett now that he can choose the jobs he takes? Hopefully, the truth will be revealed in the next week.

The third episode of the series is now streaming on Disney+. The Book of Boba Fett Episode 4 will premiere on Wednesday, January 19, 2021.
