Star Wars: Bib Fortuna Trolls Greedo On Disney+ Maclunkey Cut of A New Hope

In case you missed it, the Disney+ cut of A New Hope had changed Greedo's scene yet again. In the new version of the Star Wars film, the bounty hunter says, "Maclunkey" before shooting at Han Solo, who then shoots him dead. It's an unusual line that has led to Bib Fortuna making fun of Greedo.

Paul Blake is the actor who played Greedo in A New Hope. Blake has previously confirmed that he has no idea what "maclunkey" means and wasn't even sure why the line was added in the Disney+ cut of the movie. Interestingly, Blake also told Empire (via CBR) that Mike Carter, who played Bib Fortuna in the original trilogy, immediately trolled him about the line with a hilarious text.

"Mike Carter, who plays Bib Fortuna, the guy in Jabba's palace with the strange long ears, he texted me and said, 'MACLUNKEY!' I said, 'What the f--k are you talking about?' He said, 'New discovery! It could be as important as Howard Carter and the Tutankhamun tomb.'" Blake explained.

Unfortunately, it sounds like Blake doesn't have Disney+ yet and hasn't seen the new version of A New Hope. However, it didn't take long for him to realize what was happening.

"I didn't know what he was talking about for 10 minutes, until I had a look at the scene and thought, 'Oh right, yeah.' Disney or Lucasfilm, they're the last people that ever inform us of anything really -- unless it's the lawyers, then we hear from them pretty quick," Blake joked.

First of all, it's nice to know that the actors from the original trilogy are still friends after all these years. It would be great to see Bib and Greedo hanging out somewhere just laughing about the funny lines they have uttered in the Star Wars movies.

De wanna wanga? Oh, I mean, if you haven't seen the new version of Greedo's A New Hope scene, you can stream it on Disney+ now.
