Towards the end of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, fans got a glimpse of Ben Solo wielding the lightsaber when he finally gets redeemed. That lightsaber moment in the film is actually much more meaningful because it's a return to the man he used to be.

Since Ben got rid of the Jedi robe and wore a darker ensemble, the costume is more reminiscent of that of his father's. While Ben keeps his blaster in a low-slung holster, his placement of his saber was quite unique. In a preview of The Rise of Kylo Ren #4, Ben starts to embrace the dark side. A scene shows the character drawing his lightsaber from his shoulder as he prepares to fight "the past" in his first mission with the Knights of Ren.

Acknowledging the reference made, artist Will Sliney, who designed Ben's costume, took to Twitter to confirm Ben's choice of drawing his saber from over his shoulder. This is exactly as he does it when he received the saber from Rey in the final battle on Episode IX.

This is a scene that truly proves Ben Solo's return to the light side and how he sticks with the choices he made outside of anyone's demands or plans about his future regardless of being in the light or dark side.
