Star Wars: Ben Schwartz Admits Stealing Cool Prop from The Rise of Skywalker Set

There is little doubt that being on the set of the Star Wars film is a dream come true for most people. But what would you do if it actually happens? Ben Schwartz, who helped develop BB-8's voice, has just admitted that he took home a cool prop from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Schwartz recently spoke to Fandom about working on The Rise of Skywalker and he revealed that he stole an awesome prop from the film. The Sonic the Hedgehog star stated that he took home a small piece of the Millennium Falcon. Schwartz admitted that he tugged on a loose piece of insulation from the set and got a little more than he had originally planned. Nevertheless, he now keeps the memento in a labelled jar.

We can't really blame Schwartz for stealing something from the Falcon. After all, any Star Wars fan would be delighted to be so close to the ship that has been a part of the franchise right from the start. We're just hoping that pulling on the insulation didn't damage the Falcon too much.

In addition to helping with BB-8's voice, Schwartz also tweaked C-3PO's dialogue in The Rise of Skywalker. Although he does not appear in Episode IX, he played a First Order Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Schwartz's most recent project is Sonic the Hedgehog where he provided the voice of the titular character.
