While Star Wars Battlefront players were treated to a major update with the recent release of the game's new DLC, the update also brought with it more bugs that need to be fixed.
To address the problem, Producer Paul Keslin revealed in a new blog post on the Star Wars Battlefront forums that there will be a new update on the game that will see the PS4 and Xbox One issues repaired.
Keslin stated:
We're hearing from some of you about some issues that are detracting from your experience and we wanted to talk you through our plan to address those here today.
Specifically, some have had to deal with confusing UI feedback like Credits not showing up at the end of a match, Hutt Contract progression freezing or resetting, or – my award for most frustrating – having your Rank seemingly roll back.
The good news: the team here has jumped on and fixed all of these issues! Our systems for tracking all of the stats are working properly so what players saw was not stats being lost, mixed up, etc.; but instead the UI was not reading the data correctly at times, which resulted in showing you faulty information.
Not to worry, however, as all of your progress and stats are being tracked appropriately on the backend and will update correctly with the fixes.
Expected to arrive in early May, the update includes the following:
> Fixes for credit issues that don't appear after each match
> Freezing of Hutt Contract progression
Meanwhile, further free additions to the game in the following months include:
> New In-Game Events: additional double score weekends, community missions, and special login events
> New Hutt Contracts: unlocking of powerful Star Cards
> More New Content
Keslin also mentioned "cool activities" for Battlefront players on Star Wars™ Day on May 4.
It remains unclear whether the May update will come with the free content.
Meanwhile, fans of the game can expect three more expansions to come in the following months including Bespin in June, Death Star DLC around September and November, and a fourth and final update in early 2017.
