Star Wars Battlefront II Could be Having a Halloween Event for October

Next week will see another big patch for Star Wars Battlefront II which will give players a new map (Felucia) as well as a new reinforcement for the clones. What's interesting is, we could also be getting something entirely new for an October patch, and it's likely to have something to do with Halloween.

Game dev Manuel S. Llanes had teased that "there is a lot of love going into the next patch," on Twitter. Then he followed it up with:

We don't really know what "terror" means when it comes to Star Wars, but a lot of players are hoping it doesn't mean that only night maps will be available just like last time.

If anything, some people think it will have something to do with Ewok Hunt, which is basically the only "horror" part of Battlefront II. Some gamers have actually been requesting for a variety of hunt modes in the game, like with Wampas or maybe Gungans. Some guess that this incoming mode could actually be a Geonosian hunt, but I'm all up for something else.

How about a Rebels v Vader hunt mode where a team of rebels go up against Darth Vader with boosted health in a dark map? Vader could easily lurk in the shadows with his saber off, and the rebels could come with flashlights like the troopers do in Ewok Hunt. It's basically Dead by Daylight, but with Star Wars.

We don't know what's in store for the October update yet, but the next patch comes next week Sept. 25.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
