Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Will Explore Moral Decisions For Characters

When you dabble with trying to put on the perspective of the villain, it's exploring the kind of territory that not only deepens the understanding of a universe, but also sees it from a much-needed dualistic view.

This seems to be the goal of the developers of Star Wars: Battlefront 2. And while we know that a closer look at the Imperial army is another way to tackle the Star Wars narrative, it's also aa new way to get inside the heads of those who follow and believe in the Empire.

In a new developer diary, seen below, the team sees this move as a way to explore the different gray areas in the galaxy, both physical and moral:

"It provides really interesting questions and really interesting moral decisions that these characters have to make that provide deeper opportunity to explore with some of those characters."

This opens an avenue for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 to expand the game and explore it in such a way that it will introduce more massive worlds, one that will go beyond what the first game has offered, without breaking the flow of the narrative. Think of it in the way that sequels aim to make things bigger and better—but the twist here is that the moral aspect is also spun on its head.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be out on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Nov. 17.
