Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Tie-In Novel Will Sow Seeds of Campaign Narrative

Before jumping into the campaign of Star Wars: Battlefront 2, fans may want to check out the new tie-in novel that will set the whole thing up for playtime.

One of the smaller but definitely important announcements at the Star Wars Celebration is the tie-in novel, titled Star Wars: Battlefront II – Inferno Squad. The narrative in the novel is supposed to serve as the bridge to the story, so you won't get lost in the single-player campaign of the game.

According to DualShockers, the content of the novel was supposed to follow the story of Gareth Edwards' movie, Rogue One. However, he story has now shifted to serve as a good gap-bridge when going into the game, it will also provide a backgrounder of Iden Versio, the protagonist of the game, as well as how the Inferno Squad came to be.

Star Wars: Battlefront II – Inferno Squad will be released on July 25. It will be penned by Christie Goldie. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be released on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Nov. 17, so you'll still have plenty of time to finish that novel.
