Star Wars Art Casts Loki Actor Tom Hiddleston as Young Palpatine in Potential Disney+ Series

Emperor Palpatine is arguably one of the most iconic villains not only in the Star Wars universe but in all of pop culture as well but despite being featured in several films over the course of the Skywalker saga, it's crazy to think that there's still a lot about Darth Sidious that even diehard fans of the franchise don't know.

Lucasfilm is no stranger to producing prequel projects so of course, the idea of them working on a standalone series that follows the early days of Sheev Palpatine is something that is just so appealing not to create.

Now, assuming Disney will greenlight a potential series based on the menacing Sith Lord, who could possibly play his younger self? A glorious fan art posted by the Just Jedi Things Facebook page piqued the interest of longtime Star Wars fans as it casts Loki star Tom Hiddleston in the role and now that I think about it, there's no actor that would be a perfect candidate to star in a Palpatine spinoff other than Hiddleston himself. Considering Lucasfilm has officially expanded its Star Wars catalog through Disney+, a prequel series centered on Palpatine sounds like the perfect idea for the streaming service, and to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the House of Mouse actually pulled the trigger.

I mean, It would be pretty neat to see how Palpatine started his journey to the dark side which is something the Skywalker saga films never truly explored so I say, "DO IT!"

The entire Skywalker sage is available for streaming on Disney+.
