Star Wars: Andy Serkis Would be 'Happy' to Bring Back Snoke

Though Supreme Leader Snoke was so quickly dispatched in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, there's no denying that Andy Serkis played him marvelously. Some fans still want more of Snoke in Star Wars, and Serkis has expressed his interest in bringing the character back should he be asked.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Serkis commented:

"It's a great character, and I'd be keen… I know it frustrated a lot of people that Snoke came to such a sticky end so quickly, but I loved that big scene and the relationship between Daisy Ridley's character and Snoke — and where it goes from there and what escalates from that moment, you know the fight that kicks off after that. So I really think it's great in the movie, but yeah, I could quite happily — I'd be very happy to extend Snoke's life for sure."

With Snoke being an obvious parallel of the Emperor, everyone was expecting him to survive into the third movie; that's why everyone was caught completely off-guard when Kylo kills him by the end of the second act. I thought this was a great twist, and now I don't know what to expect when it comes to Abrams' Episode IX.

Though a lot of fans may gripe about Snoke dying so quickly after so much hype, there's really no one to blame but themselves. They were the ones who placed so much hype around the character in the first place, and when he was killed all of a sudden, they were met with a lot of disappointment. I, for one, thought it was a great twist.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits digital March 13, and Blu-Ray on March 27.
