Star Wars’ Andy Serkis Teases The Return Of Snoke In Episode IX

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) might have cut Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) into two during the climactic fight scene in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but fans are still hoping to see more of the mysterious villain in Star Wars: Episode IX. Though Lucasfilm keeps the secrets of its upcoming projects close to its chest, Serkis teases the possibility of Snoke's return.

Sitting down to speak in an interview with Hey U Guys, Serkis teases Snoke's appearance in Episode IX, feeding the Star Wars fanbase's many theories regarding the First Order's dead Supreme Leader.

"I emailed [director] J.J. [Abrams] and said, 'Let me know how things are going and how exciting it all is.' Of course, I'm very keen to see how the family's getting on," the actor shared with the publication. "Who knows, Snoke might come back, I'm not saying anything."

Eventually, Serkis admitted that he was just pranking the extremely susceptible Star Wars fanbase, saying that he was "only making that up" and that he's "totally just rumor-spreading for the sake of it, but anything can happen."

Of course, anything can happen really. After all, The Last Jedi did bring back Yoda. J.J. Abrams could probably place Snoke in a flashback for Episode IX.

Debuting in The Force Awakens, Snoke was a mysterious villain that reminded fans of the original trilogy's Emperor Palpatine. Many were eager to learn about Snoke, a baddie described as a humanoid with immense powers. Unfortunately, Snoke was turned into an instrument of Kylo Ren's growth, and the character was killed in the film.
