Will There Be a Post-Credits Scene in Obi-Wan Kenobi? Here's What We Know

WARNING: This article contains potential spoilers on Obi-Wan Kenobi. Read at your own risk.

We're now less than two months away before Obi-Wan Kenobi hits Disney+ and there's a lot of excitement as it will feature the return of Ewan McGregor in the titular role 17 years after he last played him in Revenge of the Sith. While the exact plot details are still under wraps, a new rumor has now emerged which suggests that we might be seeing a stinger in an episode of the series.

According to Making Star Wars, we should be expecting a post-credits scene in the second episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi which will serve as the introduction of Darth Vader in the series. Apparently, a reunion that will happen between Obi-Wan Kenobi and a 10-year-old Leia at the end of the episode will trigger a disturbance in the Force during the post-credits scene where we see Anakin Skywalker awaken from a Bacta tank.

This wouldn't be the first time that a Star Wars series will be doing post-credits scenes as they previously did it before in the second season finale of The Mandalorian where they teased The Book of Boba Fett as the next series in the franchise. There was also a post-credits scene at the end of The Book of Boba Fett where they revealed that Cobb Vanth survived his standoff against Cad Bane in the previous episode and is recovering in Boba Fett's Bacta tank with the mod artist standing next to him.

If the alleged rumor about the post-credits scene in the upcoming series does end up happening, it means that the third episode might focus on Darth Vader as he makes his formal introduction in the series and shows us where he is at during that era which will be years before the events of A New Hope.

While Lucasfilm hasn't confirmed this report nor they are expected to make such confirmation or announcement leading up to the series since it is a spoiler, it is likely that it is true since there have been rumors that a set for Darth Vader's Bacta tank was built during the production last year as part of the character's introduction in the series. The report also indicated that sources confirmed to them the existence of the series. Of course, we will never know the answer or the validity of this rumor until the series airs.
