I think we can all agree that Solo: A Star Wars Story wasn't everyone's cup of tea and there's a reason why Lucasfilm never greenlit a sequel. Over the last couple of years though, the divisive flick has generated a cult-like following and in a surprising turn of events, fans are demanding the production company to #MakeSolo2Happen.

Of course, Lucasfilm has been busy with a number of Star Wars projects and the chances of Solo 2 ever happening are quite slim. If you'd ask lead star Alden Ehrenreich, he has no problem reprising the role made famous by Harrison Ford.

Speaking with IndieWire, Ehrenreich had nothing but praises for the 2018 film despite the lukewarm reception it initially got, and when asked if he'd like to pilot the Millennium Falcon again, the new Marvel actor who is set to make his MCU debut in Ironheart said he'd be "very happy" to return to the role.

He said: "The story that I did, I really got to be Han Solo at the end. That’s kind of the arc of the story, which I thought was well done. That’s the fun part. That’s the guy that’s the most fun to be. I’d be very happy to, but who knows."

Director Ron Howard has said on multiple occasions that fans shouldn't keep their hopes up for a sequel even though he's admittedly down with the idea. While I don't see Lucasfilm pulling the trigger following the original's critical and box office performance, Han Solo's story being presented in a Disney+ series is something that they'd definitely do.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is available to stream on Disney+.
