Star Wars: Ahsoka to Begin Filming Sooner Than Expected

It has been a long time since we got any updates on Ahsoka. However, it looks like we just got big news about the highly anticipated Star Wars series. A new leak confirms that the Mandalorian spin-off will finally begin production a lot sooner than expected!

The leak comes from Production Weekly and was immediately shared on Reddit. Interestingly, the details about Ahsoka confirm that the new series is set to begin filming by the end of the month. In addition to that, the listed synopsis confirms the arrival of two important Star Wars Rebels characters we have all been waiting for.

The synopsis reads as follows:

"A Star Wars spin-off series set within the timeline of The Mandalorian. Ahsoka Tano, a Togruta female, who was the Padawan learner to Anakin Skywalker and a hero of the Clone Wars. Alongside Anakin, she grew from headstrong student into a mature leader. But her destiny laid along a different path than the Jedi. Ahsoka is on the hunt for the evil Grand Admiral Thrown in the hope it will help her locate the missing Ezra Bridger, the young Jedi that disappeared with Thrown many years ago."

That's not the only awesome news featured in the leak. It is also noted that The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to wrap up filming on March 23, 2022. This should give enough time for the main series to return on Disney+ by the end of the year.

Ahsoka will bring back The Mandalorian star Rosario Dawson as the titular former Jedi. The series will also star Hayden Christensen who is set to reprise his role as Darth Vader. New cast members include Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Ivanna Sakhno.

The new Star Wars series has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
