While Ben Affleck is known for playing the role of Batman, some would expect that his son's favorite character is the Dark Knight. However, the actor recently opened up about his son's love for Kylo Ren and how Adam Driver made him a true hero to his son's eyes.

In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Affleck talked about how the Star Wars actor saved his son's birthday party as Kylo Ren. "My son knows that I do movies that are kind of fake and his mom does movies and it's all pretend, but he also knows that Star Wars is real," Affleck said. "He knows there's guys out there fighting the Emperor and that job needs to get done and I can do my fake bullsh-t so people can do an important job."

So the actor told his son that he's in a movie with Kylo Ren, titled The Last Duel. Affleck recalled how his son was so surprised and excited, asking him stuff like whether or not Kylo will have his lightsaber in the film, and if the "Good Kylo Ren" will be the one in the movie. "So I told Adam that and he was a sweetheart and I said, 'Will you tape a birthday video to my son?' and he did," Affleck continued. "It was very kind. And I was just thrilled."

Upon coming home, Affleck discovered that the presents he prepared didn't arrive at their house so he had to show up at his son's birthday party without any gifts. "It was the sinking, awful feeling," he said. However, the guy that works with Affleck told the actor that Driver heard about his son's birthday and called his assistant to get his address and send his son some gifts. Driver even signed a card and a picture from Kylo Ren.

"I took those presents to that surprise party and saw my son and watched him open all his other presents," Affleck recalled. He told his son that his presents didn't arrive on time but that he did get a present from "somebody who really wanted to make sure" he had a gift. "I opened the presents, I played him the video of Kylo Ren and it was like... it was an incredibly moving, powerful moment," he added. "Adam made me a hero to my kid and I will never, ever, ever forget."

Affleck and Driver are currently filming for The Last Duel set for release in 2021.
