Without Jabal Naberrie, there would be no Padmé Amidala and Luke Skywalker. The woman behind the character, Trisha Noble, succumbed to death after her 18 months battle with mesothelioma as reported by Daily Mail.

A few days shy from her 77th birthday, Noble passed away on January 23, 2021 due to complications from a tumor which is caused by inhaled asbestos fibers.

Patricia Ann Ruth Noble hailed from Australia and started her career by the name Patsy Ann Noble on the Australian TV show Bandstand. Noble won 1961's Best Female Singer of the Year from Australia's Emmys equivalent, Logie Awards.

Noble moved to UK and signed a contract with Columbia Records then went on to pursue her journey as an actress in America where she then changed her name to Trisha.

Trisha Noble was best known for playing the role of Jabal Naberrie, mother of Padmé Amidala who was portrayed by Natalie Portman and grandmother of Luke Skywalker portrayed by Mark Hamill.

She appeared on two Star Wars films: Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones in 2002 and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith in 2005. However, her scenes did not make it to the final cut of the film of Episode II and her appearances were released solely on DVD extras.

Noble also appeared as a series regular on the ‘80s action series "Strike Force" with Robert Stack and Herb Edelman, and on various TV shows such as "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," "The Love Boat," "Hart to Hart" and "Matt Houston."
