Star Wars Actress Daisy Ridley Wants to Star in Horror Movies

Daisy Ridley might have headlined in Lucasfilm's new Star Wars sequel trilogy, but now that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is closing the curtain on the Skywalker saga, the British actress' time in the galaxy far, far away is also coming to an end.

Though Ridley doesn't want to join another major film franchise anytime soon, the Star Wars lead wants to work on ensemble productions similar to what she's experienced on The Rise of Skywalker. Surprisingly, that includes horror films.

Speaking in an interview with Variety, Ridley was asked about what kind of projects she would hope to land after Episode IX. Sure, the actress isn't quite a fan of horror films, but she seems pretty enthusiastic about the genre itself.

"Oh, see, I'm terrified of horror films, but I like them. So I'd like to be in one," Ridley told the entertainment news outlet, "But I think it would also, like, screw me up a bit. I feel like you'd have to be living with your family to exorcise the bad juju when you left set. The one thing I can't see myself doing is comedy because I don't think I'm a funny person — but I could be the straight person. [Sighs] Also, you know, it's time to be brave. So, I'll go for it!"

Any movie would be lucky to have Ridley in it, and we're sure the Star Wars actress is going to receive several offers after The Rise of Skywalker. It would be interesting to see her in a horror film – perhaps she might land a part in one of James Wan's horror movies and then, later on, appear somewhere in DC?

Let's wait and see.
