Star Wars Actress expresses her interest in crossing to a different universe as Daisy Ridley says that she is open to playing a role someday in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ridley also addressed the rumors of her taking up the Spider-Woman mantle.
Following her Star Wars stint as Rey in the recent trilogy, Ridley is currently working on another sci-fi film titled Chaos Walking where she would be starting opposite MCU's Spider-Man, Tom Holland. The two will be paired in a futuristic sci-fi film where there are no women in the world as all women were killed in a war except one, Ridley's character, who survived a crash and resorted to the woods.
Speculations are going around the possibility of having a Spider-Woman film and Ridley is one of the rumored actresses to play the role.
When this was opened up to Ridley, she said that she did not know of a potential Spider-Woman film but expressed that she would love to play the role. In a recent interview with ComicBookMovie.com, Ridley clarified that if given the chance, she would love to be part of the MCU in some capacity.
Spider-Woman film is not confirmed by either Marvel or Sony as it is not currently known to be one of the titles under development. But that doesn't stop the character of Spider-Woman in appearing for Marvel as there is reportedly an upcoming animated spin-off of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which Olivia Wilde will be making that would be female-centered and featuring various versions of Spider-Woman. It is also possible that Ridley could be tapped to voice cast one of the characters.
It could be remembered that Kevin Feige said that the MCU would be dominated by women eventually having more female heroes.
That only means that there would be a lot of possible roles to fill in. More roles, more chances for Ridley to jump from the Star Wars universe to the MCU.
