Star Wars Actor Warwick Davis Teases Willow Sequel Update

In case you missed it, there's a Willow sequel that's being developed for Disney+ right now. But what do we know about the highly anticipated follow-up to the beloved classic? Star Wars actor Warwick Davis may have revealed that this project will take a little longer than expected.

Davis recently spoke to Inverse about the sequel but the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor stated that there's still a lot of work that needs to be done.

"The internet has got a little bit ahead of us here," Davis said. "There's a lot of work on development and working out what this potentially could be, but there's no definite green light, go, we're doing this. There's a lot of work going on. The right people have come together."

We're not completely surprised with Davis' statement considering that a project of this scale will take a lot of preparation. Nevertheless, Davis admitted that things will eventually fall into place for the sequel.

"There's a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of goodwill from the right people and also from the fans. I think that's what's really so heartwarming is the enthusiasm from people around the world. So, yeah, no definite news there. I think there's a firm chance that this is going to be something that becomes a reality. Definitely," he said.

We're a little disappointed that the development is taking a little longer. Nevertheless, we can't wait for some new updates from Davis in the near future.

Davis reprises his role as Wicket in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which is still screening in theaters worldwide.
