Star Wars Actor Promises 'Huge' Reveals in The Rise of Skywalker Home Release Extras

Star Wars sequel trilogy star Greg Grunberg might not have had that much of a role to play in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but that's because some of Snap Wexley's biggest moments were left on the cutting room floor.

Speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Grunberg opened up about deleted scenes from The Rise of Skywalker, saying that he's excited to see the extras that are going to make it in the DVD copy of Episode IX. Apparently, director J.J. Abrams and his team cut a lot of amazing moments from the movie, including scenes that had Snap Wexley in it.

"I'm excited to see the DVD extras, because there are some amazing moments that I have that I can't wait to see," the actor told the entertainment news outlet, "It was really, really difficult for them in edit to lose some of that stuff, and selfishly, I'm talking about my stuff."

Of course, these deleted scenes aren't limited to Snap Wexley. They also include a lot of other moments from Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Finn (John Boyega), and the rest of the cast of The Rise of Skywalker.

"There are so many other things -- and huge things -- that I think people are going to appreciate when they look at it," Grunberg added.

While Grunberg is excited to see deleted scenes in The Rise of Skywalker's DVD, fans aren't going to get full access to these scenes in the home release of the film. Disney decided against releasing these scenes – Abrams made too many changes to the film, and these deleted scenes would create significant changes to the movie. Hopefully we'll get to see snippets of these scenes in the featurettes that are being added as extras in The Rise of Skywalker's home release.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is available on Digital HD. The film is set for release on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Ultra HD on March 31, 2019.
