I believe it goes without saying that geek conventions such as the annual San Diego Comic-Con have become an integral part of promoting upcoming projects from huge media franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, and DC but as fun and exciting as they are for a lot of fans who attend them, one actor is no longer willing to partake in any of the upcoming events after his first Comic-Con experience.

Believe it or not, Star Wars actor Adam Driver, who played Kylo Ren in Disney's divisive sequel trilogy has only participated in one Comic-Con in his career and the entire experience was so overwhelming, he vows never to make an appearance ever again.

Appearing at the Graham Norton Show, Driver recalled his time at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con where he participated in the panel for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and according to the actor, it left nothing for him to be desired. He says: "I didn't know the rules of Comic-Con. I got in at the hotel at 2 in the morning... and I'm like, 'Maybe tomorrow I'll go get a coffee.' And they're like, 'Oh no, you can't get a coffee.' I'm like, 'Well, maybe I'll get a coffee in the hotel.' They're like, 'No, you can't get a coffee in the hotel... If you want to go outside,' they're like, 'Put a mask on so nobody knows who you are.'"

He added: "I opened my [hotel room] window, because I'd been in the room for 24 hours before this thing we were supposed to do and then there was a band at the bottom of the building playing the Star Wars theme on repeat, because we [the cast] were all staying in the hotel. It was scary... "I saw what it was," he concluded, chuckling. "I mean, it's nice. [But] I'm not anxious to go again."

Well, I guess geek conventions aren't everyone's cup of tea and I honestly feel bad for Driver for his Comic-Con experience. He shouldn't have a reason to get scared about it now considering his time in the Star Wars franchise is seemingly over after Kylo Ren died in The Rise of Skywalker. But imagine if he gets cast in either the MCU or the DCEU, I wonder how his entire "I'm never returning to Comic-Con" oath will play out? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
