Star Trek Actor William Shatner is in Awe of Genderbent Captain Kirk

If anyone was famous for their ego, it's definitely Star Trek's William Shatner, and though he gets trashed for it before, he's pretty much assimilated well into the internet culture. What's funny is he's just found a photo of himself as Captain Kirk which has gone through a genderbending filter, and Shatner is pretty much impressed with how pretty he looks.

He shared this:

Though Shatner is pretty much beloved by the fanbase now in the same sense as Star Wars' Mark Hamill is loved, Shatner was apparently notorious for being very picky and hard to work with back in the day. A common quote that's often alluded to him is, "Don't tell me how to do it! It sickens me!" and has been referenced in a lot of other pop-culture, and Comedy Central even did a full roast of Shatner which included his Trek co-stars George Takei and Nichelle Nichols.

There's even a recording of Shatner talking down during a recording session, and you can just laugh at how irritated he sounds:

For now, it looks like Shatner's Trek days are over, and we don't know if any property is planning on bringing him back to the bridge of a starship. Despite this, I think he's still pretty much kept in touch with the fanbase, and everyone has grown to love Shatner, quirks and all.

Personally, I think it would be hilarious if he made a jump to Star Wars, and he would play some kind of Imperial general. Maybe in Season 3 of The Mandalorian? We'll just have to wait and see.
