A lot of fans have been anticipating the third season of Star Trek: Picard as it will feature the much-awaited reunion of the main cast of The Next Generation where they'll appear together for the first since the 2002 film Star Trek: Nemesis. While the circumstances regarding their reunion are still under wraps, fans are excited nonetheless to see them all together again.
Fortunately, it looks like fans will get an opportunity to see an in-person reunion as Paramount+ has announced that the main cast of The Next Generation will appear together at next month's Paramount+ Star Trek Universe panel at New York Comic-Con 2022.
Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, and Michael Dorn will be part of the panel for the third season of Star Trek: Picard. It will be their first appearance together on stage in years. They will also be joined by showrunner Terry Matalas and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Rod Roddenberry.
The panel is scheduled for Saturday, October 8 at the Empire Stage in Javitts Center in Manhattan and will run from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm ET. The entire Trek panel will also include Star Trek: Discovery (with star Sonequa Martin-Green) and Star Trek: Prodigy (with stars Kate Mulgrew, Ella Purnell, Brett Gray, and Jameela Jamil).
It is exciting to hear that the main cast of The Next Generation will be appearing together on stage next month and a lot of fans will definitely want to see that historic moment. It would be interesting to see whether they have some surprises in store for the audience.
