Star Trek: Prodigy Opening Sequence, First Look at Main Villains Revealed

We're finally getting new updates on Star Trek: Prodigy, thanks to Paramount+. The opening sequence for the upcoming animated series has been revealed along with the first images of the terrifying main villains.

The Star Trek: Prodigy opening sequence was shared during Paramount+'s virtual Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation. It features the ship Prodigy moving around in the galaxy as the show's theme plays in the background.

The sequence features the show's theme that was created by Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino. Giacchino is known for his previous work on Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond.

Executive producers Kevin and Dan Hageman also shared the first look at Prodigy's Big Bad. Interestingly, the villain is actually connected to one of the show's main characters.

The Diviner is voiced by John Noble and he is actually the father of Gwyn (Ella Purnell). The character is a ruthless tyrant who controls the asteroid Tars Lamora and his evil ways do not sit well with his daughter who simply wants to explore the stars.

The series has not yet been given an official release date but is set to premiere on Paramount+ later this year.
