There is little doubt that the return of Seven of Nine is one of the most exciting things about Star Trek: Picard. But is it possible that we'll see more of Jeri Ryan's Star Trek: Voyager character in the future? Showrunner Michael Chabon has just admitted that he pitched a spin-off series that would focus on Seven as well as new character Elnor.
Chabon shared the idea when a fan reached out to him on his official Instagram account with a pitch (via Comicbook.com). The follower wondered if the showrunner considered a spin-off show starring Seven, Elnor, the Doctor, and Kathryn Janeway. Interestingly, Chabon stated that this was exactly something he had already pitched but minus one character.
"Minus the Janeway, I pitched this very idea half in jest, half in earnest, to my partners many times as we were making the show this season," Chabon wrote. He then admitted that he wasn't exactly a fan of Seven's interactions with Janeway.
"I've never found relationship between Janeway and Seven to be quite as compelling as I understand that many other fans of VOY do," Chabon wrote
First of all, we're ready for more Seven since her return in Picard has been amazing and the dynamic between her and Elnor is truly refreshing. For now, it looks like Chabon is still half-joking about the whole thing but we wouldn't be surprised if CBS decides to make it a reality.
