Star Trek: Picard Season 1 was a bit of a mixed bag but fans of the franchise did appreciate how it went for some new ideas and reinvigorated some old characters. Fans can't wait to see what the second season has in store for them but that will probably take a while, given how things are right now. Still, fans will be happy to know that the Star Trek: Picard Season 1 Blu-Ray and DVD release dates have been announced.
Fans will be able to purchase Picard Season 1 on Blu-Ray or DVD on October 6. There are the usual standard editions and a beautiful steel book for hardcore fans that like shiny things. Jokes aside, it is a pretty steel book and should please fans of Star Trek, if nothing else.
Thanks to Star Trek, we know that there will be a number of extras that will entice fans, like behind-the-scenes featurettes and commentary for episodes. There's also a neat look at the show's props and sets, along with some deleted scenes and a gag reel so all of that sounds like fun.
While it hasn't been hailed as the best Star Trek series, due to its slow pacing and the way some events transpired, the show does have its fans and they are excited to see what will happen in the second season. We're sure that the folks at CBS will think about how they are going to tackle events from here on out, especially with how the world has changed since then.
Star Trek: Picard Season 1 is coming to Blu-Ray and DVD on October 6.
