Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Episode 5 Trailer, New Photos Confirm Beloved Character's Return

A new episode of Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 is coming this week and that means another mission for the crew. The trailer for Episode 5 confirms that we'll be reunited with a beloved character while the synopsis for this week's episode reveals a new mission for Michael Burnham!

The Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Episode 5 trailer opens with the Anomaly suddenly disappearing, something that shocks Stamets. However, Burnham confirms that it has reappeared elsewhere and is now heading towards a location inhabited by colonists. Naturally, the Discovery crew is eager to get these people out of trouble. However, there's going to be some conflict from a new character.

It is confirmed that Ruon Tarka will be assigned as their new advisor but he immediately butts heads with Stamets. Tarka seems like a problem for the crew as he faces off against Saru.

Perhaps the coolest thing about the trailer is the return of Jett Reno who has been notably absent in the previous episode. Needless to say, we're glad that Tig Notaro will be back in Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Episode 5.

The new images from Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Episode 5 also offer a better look at Tarka who will be portrayed by Shawn Doyle. In addition to that, there's a new alien working on the bridge. Check them out below.
