Star Trek: Discovery Klingons Set For 'Completely New Look' In Season 2

Fans were undoubtedly surprised about how the Klingons look in Star Trek: Discovery. However, the iconic aliens are bound to keep evolving in Season 2.

The Klingons in Star Trek: Discovery certainly appear to be different from their previous TV and movie counterparts. Although they were initially introduced with brown hair and skin, the Discovery Klingons are bald and have different skin tones. However, fans shouldn't get too used to the new look just yet. The show's make-up designer Glenn Hetrick has just confirmed that the Klingons will "have a completely new look, yet again, going into season two" and that fans will be "blown away" by their appearance.

Hetrick made the announcement at the recent Star Trek Las Vegas (via Trek Movie). In addition to the new look, Hetrick revealed that Season 2 will dive deep into Klingon culture.

"In season two, you are going to see much different designs. You are going to see different houses you haven't seen before. One of the most important things to us was that at this point in canon, as we head towards the current version of unification, the houses really each grow up on different planets."

Hetrick did not elaborate on what the new designs will look like. However, there is a possibility that the members of the other Klingon houses will look nothing like T'Kuvma and his followers.

The Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 premiere date has not yet been announced. However, the series is expected to return to CBS in January 2019.
