Star Trek Could Be Moving To CBS All Access

Star Trek could be pulled out of Amazon Prime on February 15 as the company ends its 2-year deal with CBS.

As per Trek Core, programs leaving the streaming service include the following:

Star Trek: The Original Series
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Star Trek: Voyager
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Star Trek: Enterprise

As a result, upcoming Star Trek series might be available solely on CBS All Access. Prime could still attempt for a last minute deal, but it looks like CBS is aiming for exclusive rights to Star Trek: The Original Series on All Access, its own streaming site to rake in more subscribers.

The bad news: The streaming site requires an additional subscription for fans already subscribed to other streaming services.

The good news: CBS All Access only costs $5.99 a month. In addition, there's no word yet whether the episodes will be pulled out of Netflix since CBS is currently on a deal with the service.

Another bad news: With Netflix losing plenty of other shows in the past few months, with rumors including CW's The Flash and Arrow, the CBS All Access Star Trek exclusivity looks more and more apparent.

It looks like Star Trek fans would have to prepare themselves to shell out extra for CBS All Access in the near future. Although, Netflix could end up extending its deal with CBS. Keep your fingers crossed.
