Star Trek 4: Jennifer Morrison Would Love to Come Back as Kirk's Mother

Before Quentin Tarantino came onboard for a Star Trek movie, there was buzz going around that the next Trek film would have something to do with time travel, and Chris Hemsworth was being tapped to reprise the role of George Kirk. If George Kirk were to come back though, what would that mean for his wife Winona?

During an appearance at the Montreal Comic-Con (via Trek Movie), Jennifer Morisson was asked if she was willing to come back to Star Trek as Winona Kirk, to which she replied:

"I would love that! I don't have any idea what they are doing. I have not heard from anyone. So, I don't know where they are in the process. I don't even know if they have a script. I have no idea where they are at with all of it. But, I loved being a part of that franchise. I loved playing Winona Kirk. I feel super honored to have played Winona Kirk. And any way to be possibly involved, I would of course love to be."

A lot of things are great about the 2009 Star Trek reboot, and one of them was definitely the heartbreaking opening involving the birth of Jim Kirk. I don't know how they could possibly bring Morrison back, but it would be nice to see George Kirk with his family if he's ever reunited with his son.

For now, we don't have any solid announcement on the next Trek film. After it was said that Tarantino would be developing his own Trek project, it looked like the time-travel plot that was initially planned was put on a hold. With Tarantino currently working on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, I would be fine if Paramount just moved on without Tarantino for the meantime, and just save Star Trek 5 for him.

Star Trek 4 has not been officially announced.
