Squid Game has continued to gain more fans as it dominates Netflix globally. Even if it hasn't been renewed for a second season yet, there are already many theories and predictions surrounding the sequel.

One netizen speculated that Gi-hun's (Lee Jung Jae) hair color might hint at how he will make his comeback on the series.

Squid Game Season 2 Theory 1: Gi-hun May Join The Competition As A Soldier

Gi-hun waited for a year before he touched the prize that he won from the deadly competition. He only decided to spend it after realizing that player no. 001, the old man Oh Il-nam (Oh Yeong-su) was not actually a friend because he was the mastermind of the game.

Gi-hun decided to dye his hair red and the move could mean something more than just achieving a fresh look. According to Tiktok user @cloeeex , Gi-hun's new hair color could mean that he will return to the island again, but this time, he will join the ranks of the soldiers.

All the players in the competition wear green jackets and sweatpants. The workers wear red overall with black masks covering their faces.

Their masks are designed with different shapes — circle, triangle, and square. The circle is for the workers with the lowest ranks, the triangle is for the soldiers and the square is for the supervisors.

With Gi-hun dyeing his hair red, he could be hinting that he will be wearing red in Squid Game Season 2.

Squid Game Season 2 Theory 2: Gi-hun Will Go Undercover

Gi-hun was supposed to fly to the United States to visit his daughter. However, he decided to call the card that he got from a man who also played Ddakji with the Salesman (Gong Yoo). He knew that the Salesman is trying to lure the stranger to join the survival game like him.

"Listen carefully, I'm not a horse. I'm a person. That's why I wanna know, who you people are and how you can do these horrible things to people," he said during the call.

However, the Front Man took over the call and warned him to stay out of it. But Gi-hun said, "I can't forgive you for everything you're doing."

The Front Man encouraged him to get on the plane because they were already boarding but Gi-hun changed his mind and made his way back to the airport.

Since Gi-hun is not flying to the U.S. he will surely make the most of his stay by tracking the people behind the game. And he could only do that by being an undercover similar to police officer Hwang Jun-ho (Wi Ha-Joon).
