Squid Game: The Challenge brought another breakthrough to the franchise after the season 2 announcement.
The hit survival drama TV series famously explores the lives of 456 players who are all in deep financial troubles. In pursuit of saving themselves, they risk their lives by playing the bloody versions of different children’s games. Only one player brings home the 45.6 billion KRW ($38 million).
After Netflix’s greenlit Squid Game Season 2, the series received another adaptation as it would now be turned into a real-life competition.

How To Apply & Join Squid Game: The Challenge?
On Netflix’s official Twitter account, it released a half-a-minute trailer to launch the Squid Game’s reality game show, Squid Game: The Challenge.
“The biggest Netflix show ever becomes the biggest reality series with our biggest prize ever. 456 players. $4.56 million. The biggest risk is not playing Squid Game: The Challenge,” the clip says.
Squid Game: The Challenge is a new reality competition series based on the original series’ games. The cash prize will be the largest cash prize in reality TV history, while the number of players – 456 – will be the largest cast in history.

Netflix also shared a link where interested people could apply. The Netflix reality TV show opened its slots for the US, UK, and Global Casting.
Those who want to join the series established eligibility requirements per category. For instance, the US casting only welcomes people who legally reside in the US and can participate in the program for up to four weeks.
The show is also expected to be released in early 2023.
Squid Game Season 2 Shows the Series’ Power
Before announcing the game show, Netflix officially announced the renewal of the series.
In a letter, award-winning director Hwang Dong Hyuk penned a message to confirm the return of the hit flick.
"It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular series ever. There's been so much demand, love, and attention for a season two. So I feel I have no choice but to make a season two,” the filmmaker went on.
Netflix is yet to confirm Squid Game Season 2 release date.
