In a new interview on Naver, the actor shared how he danced all day after securing Ali's role on Squid Game.

According to Anupam Tripathi, he spent his day telling his friends the good news while dancing his heart out. The actor is currently taking a master's degree in acting at the Korea National University of Arts, and Squid Game served as the first major series he starred on.

Choosing him to play Ali's role was the right choice for the creators of Squid Game, especially since Anupam Tripathi perfectly showed the distorted aspect in Korean society.

It is worth noting that Ali suffered from unjust treatment by failing to get paid regularly in a Korean factory. This caused him to steal the money envelope from the company's chief and gave it to his wife and young child.

Despite the deed he committed, he notably helped Gi Hoon during the first round of the mystery survival game. Until his last breath, the character served as an inspiration to many by helping other people.

As a foreign national who currently works in Korea, Anupam Tripathi said he could connect with his character and life story.

"In reality, I go to auditions, talk about payment, and I feel like every day is survival." He also stated that he was full of emotions when he read the script. I was captivated when I received the script and was analyzing it. People are put on the path of life and death in the traditional children's game, and their true nature comes out."

His popularity caused him to earn 3.6 million followers on Instagram. Despite his and the show's success, he recently revealed his status as an actor in his home country.
