Spy x Family Episode 2 is finally here and fans are loving the arrival of Yor Briar, the future Yor Forger. In addition to that, people can't get enough of the explosive proposal scene in this week's episode! SPY X FAMILY EPISODE 2 SPOILERS AHEAD!
In Spy x Family Episode 2, Twilight aka Loid Forger begins his search for a wife who can accompany him to the parents' formal interview at Eden Academy. Meanwhile, Yor Briar is invited to a party by her fellow Berlint City Hall employees who want her to bring her boyfriend. Although she initially doesn't think much about it, Yor somehow tells her brother Yuri about the non-existent boyfriend and Yuri is eager to meet the man.
These two people in search of a partner somehow cross paths at a dress shop where Loid is getting a dress made for his daughter Anya Forger, who hears their thoughts and helps them break the ice. Loid agrees to be Yor's date to the party if she pretends to be his wife for the formal interview. Unbeknownst to Loid, Yor is actually an assassin who had gone to the dress shop after her dress was damaged during a mission.
On the evening of the date, Loid is delayed as he is sent on a mission and Yor attends the party alone where her co-workers make fun of her for lying about having a boyfriend. The bloodied Loid shows up and announces himself as her husband which shocks Yor's colleagues. As they are on their way home, Loid and Yor are attacked by men from Loid's earlier mission and they fight back together.
At this point, Yor suggests they should get married for real and Loid happily agrees since it would be a great cover for him as a spy. He then proposes to Yor with the pull ring from a grenade he throws at their attackers.
It's an awesome episode and fans can't get enough of Yor's debut as well as that explosive proposal scene. Needless to say, it's a great week for Spy x Family fans and we can't wait for next week's episode.
Spy x Family Episode 3 is titled Prepare for the Interview ("Juken Taisaku o Seyo") and is based on the manga's third chapter Mission 3. The episode will premiere on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 23:00 PM JST.
