Spider-Man Star Tom Holland Reveals Uncharted Production Start

It looks like Sony's Uncharted movie is finally going to begin production soon.

Speaking in an interview with IGN on the red carpet of Disney Pixar's upcoming computer-animated urban fantasy movie Onward, Marvel Spider-Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland was asked for a few updates about the Uncharted movie.

Though the British actor didn't have much to say about the film's story, Holland said that production on Uncharted would begin, very, very soon.

"We start shooting in like four weeks," Holland told the entertainment news outlet, "The stunt department that we have out there in Berlin have done an amazing job already, prepping the stunts, and it's going to be an exciting one."

That's pretty big news. It looks like Uncharted really is on the way. The movie has had quite some difficulty getting off its feet. The project has been in development since 2008 and no less than six directors have been attached and subsequently detached from the film's production.

Fans might wonder about the legitimacy of Uncharted's production seeing how Sony has yet to announce a director for the movie, but we're certain that the studio will be announcing a director soon. Holland wouldn't gain anything by lying about the production of his own film.

To those who aren't familiar with the title, Uncharted is a videogame series developed by Naughty Dog. The original video game debuted in 2007 on PlayStation 3, offering gamers the Indiana Jones experience on console.

Uncharted is set to premiere on March 5, 2021.
