Spider-Man PS4 Gets Spectacular Metacritic Score

It looks like all of that anticipation and hype has paid off as Insomniac's Spider-Man PS4 game has done really well. Technically known as Marvel's Spider-Man, the PS4 exclusive has had many fans excited since the trailers made it seem like the best game to feature the wallcrawler. Now that 78 reviews have been released, it's safe to say that the game has done well.

Metacritic has collected 78 reviews of the game and has totalled its overall score to 87, which is really good. While it doesn't match the whopping 94 God of War has, it's still an above average game and a worthy exclusive for all PS4 owners.

Critics have praised the game's storyline, visuals, and overall gameplay, though they seem to take umbrage with some of the side missions. Apparently, they get repetitive after a while but are decent enough time wasters after a story mission.

The story, apparently, has a lot of interesting twists and turns so that's something fans of the character can look forward to. Characters like Mister Negative, Mary Jane Watson, and some villains get humanized in ways a classic Spider-Man story does well so this is a definite plus.

Gamers only have a few more days to wait before Spider-Man PS4 comes out. It looks like the wait was worth it.
