Despite Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' constant denial over the last couple of months, Marvel fans are still pretty convinced that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, especially after alleged set images of the two actors surfaced online. Webheads believe it's only a matter of time before the studios officially confirm their casting in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick but the real question is, when, where, and how will it be executed?
The obvious route would be for Sony and Marvel to make the official announcement at the upcoming Disney+ event but according to a new rumor, they plan on breaking the internet with the next release of No Way Home's trailer. According to a scoop from Big Screen Leaks, Tobey and Andrew's versions of the web-slinger will in fact appear during the final sequence of trailer number two. However, the exact date of the next teaser's release wasn't disclosed, so I guess we'll just have to stay vigilant because it could drop at any given time.

Sony and Marvel's strategy seems to be paying off because the more they deny the involvement of Maguire and Garfield, the more it generates hype for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sure, there are still skeptics and you really can't blame them for shrugging off the idea because if anything, they just don't want to be let down in case the grand Spidey scheme doesn't come to fruition.
But if you'd ask me, I have a good feeling that the rumors surrounding their involvement are actually true. I mean, do you really think everyone involved in the film will let the opportunity pass them by? I don't think so.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will premiere on December 17, 2021.
