Spider-Man: No Way Home Almost Featured Kraven the Hunter

Besides the rumored appearances of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, fans have also been excited for Spider-Man: No Way Home because of the appearances of the villains from the past Spider-Man films. But you might be wondering if that plan didn't end up happening, what would have been their plan B? Now, we know the answer.

In an interview with Collider, Tom Holland revealed which villain his Spider-Man could have faced off if the multiverse plans for Spider-Man: No Way Home didn't end up panning out. He said, "For a long time, there was going to be a Kraven movie that was going to be the third movie because things weren’t working out and all sorts of different stuff. Jon [Watts] pitched me this Kraven movie, which actually was really cool. I don’t want to talk about it in case that movie ends up happening down the line, but it was fun."

There you go, Kraven the Hunter could have been the villain for Spider-Man: No Way Home if they didn't end up with the multiverse plans. Kraven would have been a great choice since he is one of the popular adversaries of Spider-Man in the comics and fans have been wanting to see an on-screen iteration of the character. But of course, having the multiversal villains is still a great choice and also exciting as we would get to see those characters again after all these years.

Fortunately, Kraven the Hunter is about to make his big-screen debut soon as Sony is currently developing a solo film centering on the character. Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast to play the role while Triple Frontier director J.C. Chandor is attached to helm the film. It is currently scheduled to be released on January 13, 2023.

We are now heading closer to the release of No Way Home and we will finally get to know the answer soon if the rumors, speculations, and theories that we've been discussing for months are true at all. Who knows, maybe even Kraven the Hunter might actually show up for a brief moment. With the multiverse, the possibilities are endless.
